In response to overwhelming ticket demand for the initial cardmember early on sale, American Express is proud to present an exclusive Cardmember-Only Viewing Event and Designer Discussion for Fashion’s Night Out: The Show, the first-ever Fashion’s Night Out Runway Show and the largest public fashion show in New York City history. Cardmembers can purchase tickets to this one-of-a-kind live-stream experience at www.lincolncenter.org.

The exclusive event will take place at Alice Tully Hall on September 7 starting at 6 PM and provide style savvy Cardmembers with another way to experience this memorable evening and be part of the excitement at Lincoln Center. Prior to the start of the live viewing event, Vogue’s European Editor at Large Hamish Bowles will moderate a special panel discussion featuring top fashion designers Tory Burch and Alexander Wang, and Jenna Lyons. The trio of industry-leading voices will offer their personal insights into the industry, discuss upcoming trends and provide additional information around the evening’s unique runway experience.

“We were thrilled that The Show sold out so quickly, but also wanted to do something for the many people who were unable to get tickets,” said Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor in chief. “I think American Express has come up with a great concept for fashion lovers to experience the show on the seventh.”

Featuring over 150 looks, the exclusive viewing event will offer Cardmembers a spectacular vantage point to view the entire runway production on an entirely new level.

New York Fashion Week is just around the corner! Kick off the week at Fashion’s Night Out on September 10, 2010 at the C.O. Bigelow Apothecary store from 6-10 pm. The downtown landmark Apothecary store, located at 414 6th Avenue, is a neighborhood favorite to New Yorkers and celebrities alike and will have specials during the event from some of their top-selling brands.

Mary J does perfume

Mary J. Blige and Carol's Daughter collaboration

I hear through the beauty chatter network that Mary J. Blige is going to launch a signature fragrance. I know the celebrity scent thing is not new by any stretch, however, my ear on the street tells me that the lovely Ms. Blige is collaborating with the amazing brand, Carol’s Daughter. I don’t even have to preview the stuff (although I will admit that I will desperately want to) to know that this will be a sure winner. Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Prince has been crafting organic beauty goods way before the current Green movement and quite frankly, has got it down to a science. Her impeccable tailoring of essential oils and fragrance makes using each and every product pure pleasure. Not surprising, Ms. Blige has a discerning palette when it comes to beauty product and I am going to be waiting with baited breath for this release. Keep you all posted once it does!
